Mr. Sollmann has been a litigator from the start of his practice defending municipalities and municipal employees with respect to actions including, but not limited to, excessive force claims, false arrest claims, Monell claims, etc.  In addition, Scott has extensive experience representing and defending corporations throughout Ohio in premises liability, employment litigation, civil rights, personal injury, and amusements and recreation park litigation matters.

Scott has served as the Law Director for the Village of North Bend since January of 2015 and the Law Director for the Village of New Richmond since January of 2018.  He also serves as the Solicitor for the Villages of North Bend and New Richmond.  Since July 2020, he has served as Law Director for the City of Mount Healthy.   He has served as the Assistant Law Director for Colerain Township since January 2016 and represented and worked with other Ohio townships, including Union Township and Springfield Township on a wide variety of matters, including worker’s compensation matters, land use and zoning enforcement; and the defense, review and drafting of legislation, contracts, JEDDs, etc.  Scott has also handled the defense of numerous entities with respect to discrimination actions involving the EEOC, OCRC and ICRC.

Scott is a Cincinnati native who graduated from St. Xavier High School, where he played football and baseball and was named by the Cincinnati Enquirer as one of the area’s top 100 all-time male multisport athletes.  Scott also played football and baseball at the University of Notre Dame until he was drafted by the Detroit Tigers in the 7th Round of the 1996 MLB Draft.  Scott and his wife, Robyn, have four girls, including Posey who is their oldest, twin sisters Violet and Clover, and Ivy, their youngest.
